Late last year, Simon Winnall embarked on an unforgettable journey through the rarely visited Central African Republic with Conde Nast Traveller. They spent time with the extraordinary Bayaka people, watched magnificent lowland gorillas move through pristine rainforest, and stood in awe as more than fifty elephants bathed in pools of golden mud before them.
